The Elements of a Good Business Proposal

Entrepreneurs who want to succeed in their chosen industry must always make systematised plans of their undertakings. This means that they must come up with detailed business proposals that contain comprehensive explanations of each aspect that their venture needs. With that said, here are the elements that make up a sound plan.

  1. Executive summary – Included in this would be the details about the size, scope, and model, as well as the strategic positioning of the entity. This section serves as a channel between the investors and the proponents. Furthermore, it discusses concisely the other factors mentioned below.
  2. Company analysis – Under this section is a complete explanation of how the firm is organised by departments. This also includes what products and services the firm will offer to the public.
  3. Industry analysis – Included in this element are answers to these questions:
  4. * What are the different scopes of the target customer segments?

    * What are the current trends of the business industry?

    * What other fields do your firm's products and services compete with?

  5. Analysis of customers – In here, the company explains thoroughly how the firm can satisfy the needs of potential customers.
  6. Analysis of competition – This portion describes the competitive extent of the planned enterprise. Under this part, direct and indirect rivals are enumerated. Each of these firms are then assessed for their strengths and weaknesses.

With the tight opposition in the market, it is necessary for businessmen to make accurate, if not close to perfect, decisions. With that said, the completed proposal is a step closer to achieving an organised and stable enterprise.
